| This trip can be done alone or join together with our Thailand trip dates of December 4 to 12. | ||
| Day #1: Today we leave Bangkok and fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia. This is the town adjacent to Angkor Wat. We will check into our 3 or 4 star Hotel and then have time to explore the local town together. We will make our first visit to the Temple Complex today. (B, D) | email at: keith@greywhale.com | |
| Day #2: We will explore the Angkor Wat temple and the surrounding area. I suggest you do some reading before hand about the temples. During our tour of Angkor Wat we will visit numerous temples and buildings of this ancient city. Some of the spots we may visit include: The South gate, Bayon, Baphuon, the royal enclosure and Phimeanakas, terrace of elephant and leper king , Ta Prohm. Prasat Kravan, Pre Rup, Neak Pean, Prah Khan and Eastern Mebon, temple of Banteay Samre and the citadel of woman - Banteay Srei. Meals will be eaten at local restaurants. Tonight we may enjoy a traditional dinner dance show.(B, L, D) | ||
| Day #3: This morning following breakfast we will travel by boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, the capitol of Cambodia. We will make an overnight stay at a small and remote village along the shore of the lake. This unique overnight stay is exclusive on our the Jones Adventures Cambodia Tour. | ||
| Day #4 & 5: In the morning we leave the small village and our new Cambodian friends behind. Today and tomorrow are set aside for leisurely touring the city sites. Some of the sites we may visit while in Phnom Penh include: Phnom Temple, the Royal Palace (Throne Hall and the Napoleon III Pavilion), Silver Pagoda, Russian Market or an interesting walk along the riverfront esplanade.(B,L, D) | ||
| Day #6: We leave Phnom Penh in the morning and fly back to Bangkok. We stay at a nice riverside hotel and plan to eat along the River tonight. (not included in the tour price are any visa fees ($20 to 40 US) or departure taxes.) (You will require 2 passport size photos for the Cambodia visa) Those continuing on the Thailand tour will stay tonight at the Royal Riverside Hotel, a very nice 4 star hotel with great views of the River. Those not continuing with the Thailand portion, the tour ends upon arrival at the BKK Airport. | ||
